Ajwain Seed

Ajwain Seed

Ajwain seeds, also known as carom seeds, are small and oval shaped with a distinct ridged pattern on their surface. They are typically about 2-4 mm in length and have a strong, pungent and slightly bitter taste with a hint of thyme. They release a fragrant aroma with earthly and herbal notes. Ajwain seeds are insoluble in water but soluble in alcohol and ether. Their density is approximately 0.91(for ajwain seed oil). Ajwain seeds are widely used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines for their flavor and digestive properties.
